Slowbucks Holds Press Conference On Summer Jam Incident [Update: 50 Cent Affiliate Reportedly Arrested]

Slowbucks Holds Press Conference On Summer Jam Incident [Update: 50 Cent Affiliate Reportedly Arrested]

Slowbucks holds press conference at the Bostany Law Firm to discuss the now-infamous chain-snatching incident.

In response to an on-stage skirmish that quickly went viral, Slow of Queens duo Slowbucks just hosted a press conference to reveal the legal action he's taking against 50 Cent and others for allegedly stealing his chain and roughing him up in front of thousands of people. In a conference room at Bostany Law Firm in Manhattan, Slow had John P. Bostany of the firm speak for him.
Announcing plans to investigate Fif and other members of his posse for alleged crimes of assault, conversion, and "other, more brand-oriented causes of action," Bostany claims that the assailants, whoever they were specifically, were trying to harm the Slowbucks clothing brand more than anything. "They know he is the founder of Slowbucks, the #1 urban brand on the rise today," he said. "They want to hurt that brand and they are trying to hurt that brand we are going to put and end to that. We’re here, I’m a Trademark attorney, I’m a copyright attorney and I fight unfair competition."
When asked if 50 Cent was among those he was investigating, Bostany said, "I looked at the videos and I heard 50′s interview on [Hot] 97 by Angie, who did an excellent job. Questioning him and I heard his responses and his demeanor. If you look at him he says ‘oh I was looking at the crowd.’ I didn’t know what was going on behind me. I was happy that day.’ But if you look at him when he’s telling that story, he doesn’t look happy. He doesn’t look like he want to talk about it. If you look at the videos, every single one, whether he’s the one picking up the chain or not is irrelevant. His body is facing what’s going on and the he turns around, in the middle of it all, and faces the crowd."
Bostany praised Slow's courage for attempting to remind the world that, "no matter how rich or powerful some might become, how popular they may be, they still are not above the law."
“Summer Jam is supposed to be a celebration,” Bostany said. “Slow came with that in mind… What happened on Sunday would have brought us back 20 years if we weren’t dealing with a person like Slow. No matter how rich or popular someone may be, they are not above the law. Slowbucks stands for Unity and Peace.”

[Update: 50 Cent Affiliate Mikey Fingers Reportedly Arrested Over Incident]
AllHipHop is now reporting that an arrest has been made in the Slowbucks Summer Jam case, citing a few tweets that suggest that 50 Cent affiliate Mikey Fingers has been picked up by police in connection to the incident. The first tweet, which has since been deleted, comes from booking agent Mike Lighty, and reads:
“#ShoutOut The coward @slowbucks For Snitching On the Homie Aka Tio #MikeyFingers !!!!! These @slowbucks Cats talk about killing drugs and gangs But when the block Is flamming these be the same Cowards Snitching and pointing People Out ….. #Free my ni**a #MikeyFingers !!!!”
Though he used the wrong Twitter name for Slowbucks, the clothing company seems to have noticed the anti-snitching sentiments that he and others have sent their way via Twitter. The brand recently responded with the following tweet (and an image that has sinc been removed).
