Kanye West Sued for Using "Bound 2" Sample Without Permission

Kanye West has been sued by Ricky Spicer, the Ponderosa Twins Plus One singer behind the sample from "Bound 2". The New York Daily News reports that Spicer has asked West to compensate him or cease and desist from using his voice. Spicer sang "Bound" as a 12-year-old.

Ricky Spicer said he was stunned when he heard himself on the radio backing up West on the hit single "Bound 2," which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard charts in June. "Mr. Spicer's voice is sampled exactly as he recorded it and his voice ... is heard several times," said the suit, filed Monday in Manhattan Supreme Court.
