Chief Keef Taken into Custody

Chicago rapper Chief Keef is in custody after a judge found out the 17-year-old violated his probation.
Keef, real name Keith Cozart, is still serving out his probation after pointing a gun at a Chicago police officer.
The judge found that Cozart visited a gun range in June and fired a weapon -- a direct violation of his probation. His attorney Dennis Berkson argued Cozart fired a rifle on private property as part of a promotional video. He said that didn’t violate the spirit of the judge’s order.
Judge Carl Anthony Walker found Cozart showed a “willful disregard” of the court. He’s being held until Thursday when the judge will hold a sentencing hearing.
Cozart did not address the judge or testify during the two-hour hearing.
